Clinical Engineering Program

The Clinical Engineering Stream is preparing a rich program throughout the conference on content relevant to Clinical Engineers and staff working in-hospital, which includes:

  • Right to Repair, led by the Right to Repair Working Group
  • Session (topic TBD) led by the newly formed CMBES Clinical Engineering - IT Collaborative Working Group 
  • Panel on Standards used in Canada related to the Application of Electrical Safety in Healthcare
  • Paper/Abstract Podiums
  • Paper/Abstract Posters
  • Local Hospital Tour (to be confirmed)

Academic Program

The Academic Stream will include podium presentations and poster sessions where engineers, physicians, scientists, students, technicians and technologists will present their work through reviewed papers/abstracts. Program includes :

Medical Device & Industry Innovation Program

Medical Device Manufacturers and Healthcare Industry Partners will be presenting sessions to delegates on their projects and innovative products and solutions. Confirmed sessions include :

  • 3D Printing (PolyUnity)
  • Medical Device Reporting (Health Canada CMDSNet)

Continuing Education Program

This year, Continuing Education sessions are offered to delegates at no additional fees, and include a series of 90-minute professional development sessions on a range of topics of interest to members of ACCES and CMBES. Confirmed sessions include :

  • The British Columbia Cybersecurity Journey
  • The Power of Virtual Reality in MedTech Innovation (Draeger Medical Canada Inc.)
  • Healthcare Incident Investigation Best Practices & The ECRI Alerts Program (ECRI)

Entertainment

Frantically Atlantic is a musical band based in Fredericton New Brunswick. They have a broad repertoire of East Coast style / Folk / Celtic / Roots and Acadian tunes and songs – original and traditional. Join Don Rigley and Michelle Daigle of Frantically Atlantic during the CMBEC47/ACCES26 Gala and Awards Banquet on May 28th, 2025, for an East Coast Style Interactive Kitchen Party. An evening of toe tapping Celtic songs, tunes, singalongs, storytelling and Barn Dances!

  • Donations accepted on-site and online
  • 100% of donations going toward the Chalmers Foundation Cancer Support Program
  • Donors receive raffle tickets for prize draws, carnival games, etc.
